FAQs

Do I need to start Community Alliance programs/services in any specific order?

No, you can choose the programs that best fit what you need. We have trained staff to help you learn about all our services so you can make the best choice possible for yourself.

What are your walk-in hours to see someone about getting involved?

You can walk in to our 7150 Arbor Street office Monday thru Friday from 8:30am – 4:30pm to talk with our staff about what you might be interested in and need. Please bring your insurance card along with you if you have one and if you have a mental health provider already, please bring along their contact information.

What services are offered in Fremont Nebraska?

Community Alliance offers Community Support and Employment services in Fremont. Staff members in these programs will come to your home and/or meet with you in the community to address your needs.  We have an office in Fremont located at 1900 E. Military Avenue, however the staff are working in the field the majority of the time so you won’t likely find them there. Please call 402-341-5128 to reach the staff in Fremont.

Our Crisis services are also available for individuals in the Dodge County area.  Please see our crisis services page for more information on crisis services.

Do I need insurance to participate in Community Alliance programs?

Community Alliance accepts Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurance. If you do not have insurance or your insurance doesn’t cover some or all of the services provided, we offer a sliding fee scale. This means we charge you based on your household size and income. Community Alliance staff are available to answer your questions about insurance and how you might qualify for a reduced cost under our sliding fee scale.

Are Community Alliance facilities tobacco free?

Yes. Community Alliance’s main facility at 7150 Arbor Street and its Fremont office are tobacco-free campuses. Smoking, vaping, and all tobacco use are prohibited inside buildings, vehicles, sidewalks, parking lots, and landscaped areas. This policy applies to staff, clients, and visitors.

In apartments and group residences, smoking/vaping is not allowed indoors or in vehicles. Each site provides a designated outdoor smoking area where residents may smoke if safety rules are followed.

We ask everyone to respect these policies as we work to provide a safe and pleasant environment for all.  We also ask that you respect our neighboring properties by not smoking or vaping on their grounds.  Support is available for those who wish to reduce or quit the use of tobacco products.  If interested, please speak with your care coordinator or Community Alliance staff.

Does Community Alliance provide housing?

Yes, Community Alliance does provide housing along with mental health programming. To live in Community Alliance housing, you must also qualify for the mental health programming, such as Residential Rehabilitation, Community Support, or Assertive Community Treatment. Community Alliance does not have general housing without the requirement to participate in mental health programming.

Do I need to pay rent when I live in Community Alliance housing?

Yes, you are required to pay rent. Community Alliance is like all other landlords in the community and rent must be paid monthly.
