A letter of gratitude from our CEO

CA December Blog Holiday (1)

Community Alliance’s name reflects the reason for our success — through the collaborative support of our community, we help people transform their lives and travel the road to recovery. As 2025 comes to a close, I look back on this year with an abundance of gratitude for all who contributed to making this possible. Many, many thanks are in order.

Thank you to donors of all levels who help us expand access to care, fund life-changing programs and reach those who need mental health and substance use support. The foundations, corporations, businesses and individuals who show their support make a powerful statement that mental wellness is a priority. And I am especially touched by those who designate Community Alliance for memorials and tributes for loved ones.

Thank you to all those who help fulfill essential needs and provide basic necessities for those we serve. We’ve received generous donations of winter accessories, such as hats, gloves and handwarmers, from community members for our team to distribute to individuals who are experiencing homelessness. High school students recently put together gift bags for each person in our residential rehabilitation services. And local companies donated their services, such as providing free haircuts, using their talents to pay it forward. I am continually inspired by the thoughtful ways people support our organization and those we serve throughout the year.

Thank you to the individuals and families who have made the commitment to better understand their loved ones’ mental health/substance use challenges through our family-to-family trainings. I admire your dedication to learning and your vulnerability in sharing your experiences so that others may relate, cope and grow stronger in supporting their loved one.

Thank you to the mental health and substance use advocates at Community Alliance and beyond who help make healing possible. Our longstanding relationships with community partners and colleagues are foundational to improving the system of services in our community. Community Alliance team members’ high-quality service and steadfast support significantly impact the well-being of those we serve. And our board members selflessly offer their time, expertise and heart to ensure we can carry out our mission.

Finally, I am deeply grateful for the individuals and families who have placed their trust in Community Alliance, our team and our services. It is our honor to support your hard work toward recovery each and every day, and we look forward to walking alongside you in the year ahead.

Together, we are building a stronger, more compassionate community. We couldn’t do it without all of you.
