Compassionate Crisis Support That Meets You Where You Are
At Community Alliance, we understand that experiencing a mental health, alcohol, or drug crisis can be hard for the person. It can also be hard on their loved ones. Some crises can also include safety concerns for the person or those around them.
Our crisis response services emphasize “meeting people where they are,” both physically and emotionally, by offering tailored care that respects each person’s unique circumstances and needs.
Whether through our 24/7 peer and crisis lines, mobile crisis team in and around Omaha, Safe Harbor program, or walk-in services, we work with you to ensure safety and dignity during vulnerable moments, de-escalate the immediate crisis, and facilitate connections to follow-up and ongoing care.
Our Crisis Services include:
- 24/7/365 Crisis Line, providing access to peers, mental health workers, and clinical staff to address a current mental health or substance use crisis, or provide assistance to those with heightened concern about a loved one.
- Mobile Crisis Team, which can deliver in-person crisis services near you and within the community.
- Urgent Care/Walk-in Services for immediate assessment and stabilization.
- Clinical Crisis Intervention Services, including risk assessment, safety planning, and identifying supports.
Crisis Follow-Up and Ongoing Support Services
Follow-up care includes contact within 24-48 hours and telehealth or in-person counseling, information, referrals, advocacy, and continued mental health and substance use support.

Safe Harbor Peer Crisis Diversion Services
Safe Harbor is an innovative program staffed by trained peer specialists who have themselves experienced mental health challenges and are in recovery. It is intended for individuals who don’t want or need a hospital or other immediate clinical care, and where peers will listen and provide practical support and strategies to deal with the immediate situation. Safe Harbor services are provided by phone and also offer a comfortable, “living room” style location to come to talk, relax, and stay for up to 24 hours.
