KETV Highlights Our Collaborative Advocacy work about Nebraska's proposed service definition change

The Nebraska Association of Behavioral Health Organizations (NABHO) and other behavioral health advocates gathered at Community Alliance earlier in the month to raise concerns about proposed changes to the state’s Medicaid and behavioral health service definitions.

We are concerned the proposals could create confusion for both patients and providers and disrupt ongoing care. Service definitions are foundational to how behavioral health care is defined, reimbursed and delivered in Nebraska essentially serving as the playbook for determining what services are offered and who qualifies for them.

In partnership with other providers, we collectively called on state leaders to carefully review public feedback and collaborate with the community before moving forward with any changes.
