DESCRIPTION:Celebrating its 30th year\, Breaking the Silence is our signature event that has grown into one of the region’s major mental health awareness gatherings that also serves as a fundraiser to support the many incredible programs we provide to over 6\,000 clients. Breaking the Silence brings together families\, professionals\, advocates and community leaders to recognize the need for mental health services\, reduce the stigma and expand access and care to those in crisis. \nThis year we are excited to welcome former NFL wide receiver Brandon Marshall who was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder in 2011. Brandon shared\, “When they diagnosed me\, I just exhaled\, like the biggest exhale of my life. It was just a huge relief.” Since being diagnosed\, Brandon has become a prominent mental health advocate. Drawing from his own lived experience\, Brandon has transformed personal challenges into a purpose-driven lifestyle focused on longevity\, wellness and unlocking human potential. DESCRIPTION:Get the training you need to become a certified Peer Support Specialist in Nebraska.
